Westport Family Dental Associates, doing business as Westport Dental Associates ("Westport Dental Associates," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This page has two parts. Part 1 explains how we handle information collected through www.westportdental.com (the "Site"), including text messaging. Part 2 is our Notice of Privacy Practices, which explains how your protected health information may be used and disclosed.
1. About Our Services
Westport Dental Associates provides general and specialty dental care, including dental implant and full arch services, at our office in Westport, Connecticut. Information on this Site is provided for general informational purposes and is not a substitute for professional dental advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Treatment decisions are made together with our clinical team during your visit.
2. Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the Site. You agree to provide accurate information when you complete any form on the Site. Please do not submit emergency or urgent medical information through the Site. If you have a dental emergency, call our office at (203) 227-3709.
3. Text Messaging (SMS) Program Terms
Westport Dental Associates offers a text messaging program to patients and prospective patients who choose to opt in. By providing your mobile phone number on our website contact form and checking the consent box(es) presented there, you agree to receive text messages from Westport Dental Associates as described below.
Program description. We offer two separate types of text messages. You may opt in to one or both types, independently of each other:
- Non-marketing messages: appointment reminders, consultation confirmations, and treatment updates.
- Marketing messages: promotional information about our dental services, only if you separately opted in.
How you opt in.You opt in by checking the applicable, separate, optional consent checkbox on our website contact form. Each checkbox is unchecked by default. The consent language you agree to reads as follows:
Non-marketing messages: "By checking this box, I agree to receive non-marketing text messages from Westport Dental Associates about appointment reminders, consultation confirmations, and treatment updates. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
Marketing messages: "I consent to receive marketing text messages from Westport Dental Associates at the phone number provided. Frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Text HELP for assistance, reply STOP to opt out."
Consent is not a condition of service. Your consent to receive text messages is optional. You do not have to agree to receive text messages to schedule an appointment, receive treatment, or purchase any service from us.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies depending on your appointments and the types of messages you have opted in to receive.
Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile carrier plan.
How to opt out. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send you one confirmation message and you will receive no further text messages from us. To resubscribe, reply START.
How to get help. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at (203) 227-3709 or info@westportdental.com.
Carriers. Mobile carriers and their affiliates are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your information. We do not share mobile opt-in data or phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Please see our Privacy Policy for details about how we collect, use, and protect your information.
4. Appointments, Cancellations, and Fees
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact our office as early as possible. A broken appointment fee may apply when an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice. Rescheduled appointments are subject to availability, and we cannot guarantee that a new appointment will be available immediately.
5. Dental Emergencies
If you have a dental emergency, please call our emergency line at (203) 227-3709. During business hours, we will make every effort to see you the same day. If you call after hours, our team will triage your situation and typically schedule you for an appointment the next day.
6. Payment and Insurance
Information about accepted payment methods, financing options, and insurance participation is available from our office. Please contact us at (203) 227-3709 before your visit if you have questions about your coverage or costs.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is owned by or licensed to Westport Dental Associates and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute Site content without our written permission.
8. Patient Photos, Videos, and Testimonials
Patient photos, videos, and testimonials appear on the Site or in our marketing only when a signed release is on file.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted or error free.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Westport Dental Associates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of law rules
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated Terms on this page and change the Effective Date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
